Building a Reputation in Airsoft
Guay Guay Trading Co. opened in Taipei in 1986, but not as a manufacturer. For its first fifteen years it was a dealer, importing airsoft guns, action figures and military surplus for local enthusiasts. The G&G ARMAMENT brand, and G&G’s own production, only arrived in 2001. Between 2004 and 2013 the company put more than a hundred different replicas on the world market.
Sustained Market Leadership
G&G invented the pneumatic blowback system and holds patents on it in several countries. It was the first airsoft manufacturer to pass ISO 9001, and it opened a second factory in Changhua to keep up with demand. CEO James Liao founded the Taiwan Airsoft & Airgun Association and became its first president; the company also runs the G&G World Cup in Taipei, which has drawn shooters from a dozen countries. Every part is still made in Taiwan.
